Shea Galloway began her riding career in Hunterdon County, New Jersey before
moving to Houston, Texas. She then had a successful competition career
as a junior and amateur rider competing up to the ‘AA’ level in
Hunters, Equitation, and Jumpers with the former AHSA (United States Equestrian Federation). She also showed ponies
with the Welch Pony & Cob Society of America.
Shea moved to England in 1998
where she studied Equine Science/Business at Berkshire College of
Agriculture and Buckingham Chilterns University. While in England she
competed under the British Show Jumping Association.
When Shea returned to Houston she
worked as a working student and continued to compete with the USEF and WPCSA
until obtaining her professional status in 2000. Since then she has guided many horses and riders to year end awards at the local, state, and national
level. She recently led Angeleah Cleek and Birolo to the 2006 THJA
Children’s Jumper Champion, and the USEF Zone 7 Children’s Jumper Reserve
Champion.
